The Cultural Association
The Matilde Pianciani Cultural Association aims to promote medium- and long-term programmes and activities focused on the protection, enhancement, and dissemination of the Villa Pianciani Monumental Complex, which represents an asset of great historical, cultural, and natural value for the local area.
The Commitment
The Matilde Pianciani Cultural Association is dedicated to the protection, restoration, and enhancement of the Monumental Complex of Villa Pianciani and its Park, both protected by the Italian National Heritage Authority.
Its mission includes activities of conservation and cultural promotion through educational, editorial, multimedia, and artistic projects: courses, seminars, workshops, exhibitions, performances, events, and conferences.
A virtual archive is currently being developed to collect documents and studies on the Complex, making them available to scholars of art, architecture, and historic gardens. At the same time, the Association supports environmental research, educational programs, and initiatives aimed at Italian and international students.
Volunteer Hospitality
The Matilde Pianciani Cultural Association, in collaboration with various national and international organizations, (workaway, worldpackers, erasmus+) welcomes volunteers from around the world for short internships and training programs.
It offers young people – and also adults – the opportunity to deepen their knowledge of Italian culture, and sometimes to learn the language, while gaining a unique experience directly involved in activities related to the protection and care of art and nature, historical preservation, sustainable tourism, and respect for the environment.
One of the oldest projects is the work-holiday program, dedicated in autumn to the olive harvest and in spring to the pruning of both the olive trees and the park.
Becoming a Member
To take part in and share in many of the activities promoted by the Association, membership is always required.
